教材分析：本课是《开心学英语》第7册第10单元《I want the best.》的第一课时的教学。本单元谈论的话题是：形容词的最高级(三个或三个以上的人或事物比较，其中有一个在某一方面超过其他几个时，用形容词的最高级来表示。本课的学习目标的是：让学生了解形容词的原级、比较级和最高级的用法，进一步学会运用形容词的最高级来描述实际生活中的事物。
教学内容分析:
知识目标:
四会掌握coldest, hottest, longest, shortest, cheapest, most expensive, best, worst共8个单词，句型“Which is the cheapest notebook? The green one. Which is the best? The blue one, of course.”并能使用其他形容词比较级和最高级来描述身边的人和事物。
能力目标:
能在情景中运用所学句型。
情感目标:
1.学会与他人交流合作，关注别人的想法打算。
2.激发学习英语的兴趣，养成良好的学习习惯。
教学重点：句型Which is the +形容词最高级？
教学难点：形容词最高级的变化规律。
教学思路：通过学生身边的物品，如文具、玩具、衣服等感知认识句型Which is the +形容词最高级？对身边物体进行比较，掌握形容词最高级的使用方法，培养和发展学生语言运用能力。
课前准备：
1.制作课件，准备实物教具。
教学过程：
第一课时：（Vocabulary, Target）
Step 1.Revision and warming up
1.    Guess what festival it is by the music. (jingle bell)
2.Free talk: What’s the weather like in Christmas? It’s cold.
   Guangzhou is cold. Beijing is colder than Guangzhou. But Harbin is the coldest.
   In Summer, Harbin is hot. Beijing is hotter than Harbin. But Guangzhou is the hottes.
3.Lead in coldest and hottest. Have Ss read together.
4.Review words.
big—biggest   small—smallest    old—oldest    young—youngest
fast—fastest    slow—slowest     tall—tallest     short—shortest
5.Show three gifts and compare them. And then, have Ss compare themselves in the class. 充分练习后小组展示。
Step 2 Presentation
1.Vocabulary learning
1)Lead in longest and shortest.利用课件展示不同长短的线段。
A is long. B is longer than A. C is the longest of the three.
D is short. E is shorter than D. F is the shortest of the three.
2)Play a guess game. Which ruler is the longest / shortest? 然后小组练习，让学生自己描述自己的学习用品的长短。
3）Lead in the most expensive and cheapest.课件展示三个不同款式、价钱的笔记本，通过比较，引出最贵和最便宜。反复操练，分组读，开火车读。充分学习新单词后引出target句子，并板书。
  Which is the most expensive notebook? The blue one.
反复读，同位对话。鼓励同学用学过的形容词最高级变换句子。
4）Lead in best and worse.继续用PPT的三本笔记本来比较哪本的最好，哪本最差。反复带读以及个别读后板书target句子。
  Which is the best? The blue one, of course.
5）Let’s compare.先用学生的课本做示范，引伸到其他物品的比较，小组操练。
Step 3 Ex. (Fill in the blanks.)

Christmas is coming, I will buy some gifts to my good friends. I am going to buy a toy car to Gogo. It’s $10. It’s expensive. I am going to buy a doll to Jenny, too. It’s $20. It’s more expensive than the toy car. And I am going to buy a guitar to Tony. It’s $65. It’s the most expensive of all, and it’s the best gift.
Homework : Copy the new words and read the sentences.
                   Write a short composition about your family.

形容词的变化规则和句型都不难，在我的教学中，我设计了很多环节让同学们多说、多练，并配合不同形式的操练让同学们写的也有乐趣，我还选择了好的作品在课堂上展示。熟能生巧，同学们通过反复的练习，这一部分都还掌握的不错。同学们学得好，我教得也开心，以后我们会共同努力，不断进步，争取更好的成绩！
