Step 1. Warm up.
Ask the students to look at cartoons and sing a song Children’s Concert together.
Step 2. Presentation.
a. Let the students look at some pictures of different styles rooms. For example: Art Room Classroom Science Lab etc. (PPT) Ask them to listen carefully and try to answer a question in each picture. eg. Do you often come to the library? How many art classes do you have a week? How often do you have music classes a week? What do you do in your science lab? etc. Then talk about every picture as possible as they can in groups.
b. Lead in the new phrases according to these pictures. (do experiments do listening etc.) Tell the students how to say the new phrases and ask them to pay attention to their pronunciations.
c. Do a practice stone scissor and cloth to remember the new phrases in pairs.
d. Play a game best match. Ask each group to choose three pieces of paper in three different boxes which were written ‘who’ ‘do’ and ‘where’. Find out the best match group to prize.
Step 3. Practice.
Play a game bingo .Give each student a piece of paper which drew nine blanks. T says nine words voluntarily and ask the whole class to write them on the paper by themselves. Then T says three words among them voluntarily. If the students’ words are the same as the words which the teacher said, cross them out. If whose words crossed out can be in a line, he/she will be prized.
Say two chants: ’oo’ and ‘ea’.
Look at the cartoons and say the chants together. Tell the students the pronunciations of them.
Step 4. Group Work.
Show the students a timetable.
a. Creat a scene: Tell the students: In a few days, the steering group will visit our school. Maybe the guests will ask you some questions according to the timetable. First I will be a member of the steering group .Who will help me to do the interview? (T—S1)
b. Do group work. Think about these questions: If you are the guests, what will you ask? If you are the classmates, what can you answer? (S1—S2)
c. Do a show to the front in groups. Prize the best group.
Step 5. Assessment. Count the stickers and find out which group is the winner. Congratulations!
Step 6. Homework..
