考点1 并列连词
并列连词主要用来表示并列关系、选择关系、因果推理关系等。也可用来连接平行的词，词组或分句。
1.常考并列连词
and(2011年25题考查)“和”，表并列或顺承关系

but（2009年30题考查）“但是”，表转折关系
I'd love to but I'm afraid I have no time.我很想去，但是恐怕我没有时间。21教育网
or“或者或否则”，表选择关系
Hurry up, or you'll miss the plane. 快点，否则你就赶不上飞机了。
for (or) so“因为/所以”，表因果关系

2. 复合并列连词
neither...nor 两者都不……
Neither he nor his children like fish. 他和他的孩子们都不喜欢鱼。
either...or 或者……或者
Either you or he is wrong. 不是你错了，就是他错了。
not only...but also  不但……而且
Not only you but also he wants to buy the book. 不但你而且他也想买那本书。www-2-1-cnjy-com
both...and  两者都……
Both she and I are good at English. 她和我都擅长英语
注意：
①neither...nor, either...or, not only...but also连接两个成分作主语时，谓语动词要和最近的主语保持一致，即就近原则；both...and连接两个成分作主语时，谓语动词只能用复数。　　21*cnjy*com
②连接两个句子时，neither, not only 后面的句子要用倒装句。如：Not only did he speak more correctly, but he spoke more easily. 他不但讲得正确些，而且讲得较简单。【出处：21教育名师】
考点2  从属连词
1.引导宾语从句的从属连词that, if, whether。
that用来连接宾语从句的陈述句，无词义，可省略。
 I believe (that) success calls for hard work. 我相信成功需要付出艰辛的劳动。21*cnjy*com
if (or) whether用来引导宾语从句，表示“是否”，不可省略。
 Do you know if (or) whether the museum is open on Sunday?  你知道博物馆星期天是否开门吗？
 I asked her if (or) whether she could lend me a hand. 我问她是否能帮我一下。
2.引导状语从句的从属连词。
引导时间状语从句的从属连词
when当……时候  从句用一般过去时，主句用过去进行时。
It was raining when she arrived at the station.她到达车站时，正在下雨
while(2013年B卷35题考查)  正当……时，正在……时
while引导的从句中，谓语动词必须是延续性动词，且常常用进行时。
Don't make any noise while others are reading.别人读书时不要制造噪音。
until（2012年25题考查）直到……常用在“not...until...”结构中，表示“直到……才……”。
He didn't appear until the meeting had begun. 直到会议开始他才露面。
as soon as（2013年A卷25题考查）一……就……引导的从句常用一般现在时，主句用一般将来时。21cnjy.com
I'll visit you as soon as I come back.我一回来就去拜访你。
before(2010年27题考查) 先于……之后才 before引导时间状语从句，当主句是将来时时，从句谓语动词须用现在时；before引导的时间状语从句不能用于否定句。2-1-c-n-j-y

引导原因状语从句的从属连词
because因为,回答why引导的问句。
—Why were you late for class today? 今天你为什么上课迟到了？
—Because I got up too late and didn't catch the early bus. 因为我起床晚了，没有坐上早班车。
since既然语气比because弱，表示原因是对方已知的。
Since he says so, it must be true. 既然他这么说，那一定是真的。
as由于，因为语气比since弱，表示原因是对方已知的，一般放在主句之前。
Mother began to worry about my brother as it was getting dark.由于天越来越黑，妈妈开始为哥哥着急。
引导结果状语从句的从属连词
 ①“so... that...”中，so后侧重强调形容词或副词，意为“如此……以至于……”。
She is so tired that she cant go any further. 她太累了，不能再走了。
 ② “such...that...”中，such后侧重强调名词，意为“如此……以至于……”。如：
It's such a fine day that many people go to the park for fun.   天气这么好，许多人都到公园里来玩。
注意：so...that...结构常与too...to...结构互换。如：
My brother is so young that he cant go to school. 我弟弟太小了，还不能去上学。
=My brother is too young to go to school.
引导目的状语从句的从属连词，so that (or) in order that表示“以便于”。如：版权所有

引导让步状语从句的从属连词
though 虽然   although 尽管    even though (if)即使引导让步状语从句时这些词不能与but同时连用。
如：Although it rained hard, he still went out. 尽管雨下得很大，他还是出去了。
Even though I have enough time, I don't want to go there with him.即使我有足够的时间，我也不想跟他去那。
引导比较状语从句的从属连词
从属连词常用结构用法
than  A than B 用于两者（人或物）进行比较。
China has a larger population than India (does).  中国的人口比印度的人口多。【版权所有：21教育】
as...as...两个as之间需形容词或副词的原级，意为“与……一样”。not as (so)...
This film is as interesting as that one. 这部电影和那部电影一样有趣。
as...as (so) 与as之间也用形容词或副词的原级，意为“不如，赶不上”。
Some people think that planes now are not so (or) as safe as trains.  有些人认为现在乘飞机没有乘火车安全。21·世纪*教育网
引导条件状语从句的从属连词
if 如果,if引导的条件状语从句用一般现在时，主句用一般将来时。
If he has time tomorrow, he will come to the meeting.  明天有时间的话，他会来参会的。2·1·c·n·j·y
unless如果不，除非;unless可以转化为“if...not...”结构。
