1. Pre-task preparation
1. Warm-up
Pupils listen to a story and try to remember what Hello Kitty likes to do.
通过听故事复习以前学过的动词,并增养学生良好的倾听习惯。


2.Questions and answers
Pupils answer the question and tell the reasons.
T: What does Hello Kitty like to do in spring? What do you like to do in spring/summer? Why?
让学生根据实际情况陈述喜欢做某事的理由,培养学生的表达能力。


3.Review the verbs learnt before
(A game: Simon says)
Pupils listen to the orders and respond.
小游戏既可让学生再一次复习动词,又增添了乐趣,调节了课堂气氛。

While-task procedure
1. Introduce Supergirl
(Watch VCD)
T: Why do we call the girl Supergirl?
借助多媒体,展示超级女孩的超级本领。通过讨论,引导学生理解super的含义。


2. Teach the new words ‘dive, fly, cook, paint’
1) Pupils read the words on the word cards
2) T: Who can dive in your family? Which animal can fly? Who cooks meals in your family?
通过问答,让学生掌握新词;并在教师的引导下,灵活地运用这些动词表达自己的所思所想。


3. Do a survey
Pupils do a survey in groups.
1) Group leader: Who can dive? P1/P2: I can dive.
2) Group leaders present their reports.
在小组内进行调查,扩大学生的参与面,培养学生运用语言的能力和自主学习能力。

Pupils watch an episode of ‘Superman’ and discuss about it.
T: Why do we call the man Superman?

帮助学生进行新旧语言材料的整合,培养学生口头表达能力和想象能力。

Assignment
Interview a capable person and make a report on him or her
